Christmas Holidays are approaching and the best way to celebrate is with family and friends. This festive concert will feature classical tunes as well as traditional Christmas Carols uniquely arranged for piano, panflutes, and recorders.
The concert will feature Amsterdam Panflute Trio, MSounD duo, and Duo Mariana Preda&Juho Myllylä.
MSounD Duo is a panflute-piano duo is presenting a new vision of classical/contemporary music with a repertoire written especially for this instrumentation and arrangements of famous classical works showing the versatility of both instruments. They are sharing with the audience stories about the new works through performance.
Amsterdam Panflute Trio was founded in 2021 by Mariana Preda, Cristina Petcu, and Elianne Vuik. Their repertoire is ranging from Middle Ages to Contemporary with a focus on new written works for 3 panflutes as well as showing the versatility of the instrument in other music genres.
Duo Mariana Preda (panflutes) and Juho Myllylä (recorders) started their collaboration during their studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, and since then they shared a passion for constantly exploring the possibilities of combining their instruments in various musical styles. Active collaboration with young composers Wilma Pistorius and John Franek has resulted in a number of new works, which are often combined with older music in their programs.
